Here is a free sermon series on work as worship for your church!
This 5-part series closes the gap between Sunday and Monday — showing your church that work and worship were designed as one, and that God’s Kingdom is breaking into their 9-to-5 right now.
THIS IS HOW THE MADE FOR MONDAY SERIES BREAKS DOWN:
WEEK 1: MADE FOR THE MUNDANE
Six in ten Gen Z workers call their job a “situationship” — but Genesis 2 reveals our original job assignment: cultivating and guarding God’s creation alongside Him. The Hebrew word for that work, abad, is the same word the Old Testament uses for worship. The fall tore work and worship apart; Jesus puts them back together. This message shows why you can bring your whole soul to the most mundane Monday task, and how inviting God into your workday turns the ordinary into an altar.
Scripture: Genesis 2:10-15; Colossians 3:23-24
WEEK 2: MADE FOR THE MARKETPLACE
When Jesus announced His mission in Nazareth, the crowd tried to throw Him off a cliff — because He said the Gospel wasn’t for religious insiders but for everyone out THERE. Then He proved it: fishermen, a leper, a paralytic, and a tax collector’s dinner party. This message reveals that the Gospel you carry was made for the marketplace — it goes with you into any vocation and turns Monday from a drag into a mission.
Scripture: Luke 4:16-29; Luke 4–5
WEEK 3: MADE FOR THE MOMENT
Most Christians get fuzzy about everything between the cross and the second coming — and end up treating the church age like a waiting room. Walking the full arc of God’s story, this message lands on the “already but not yet,” where heaven and earth overlap and the church becomes a working model of heaven. Your calling: agent of renewal, right where you work. Two ready-to-use Kingdom-timeline slides are included.
Scripture: Matthew 28; Ephesians 2:19; 2 Corinthians 5:20
WEEK 4: WOMEN IN THE WORKPLACE
To be a woman in the workplace is to reimagine your calling over and over as seasons shift. Walking through Joseph’s three great transitions — son to slave, servant to prisoner, prisoner to second-in-command of Egypt — this message reveals the pattern that changes everything: “the Lord was with Joseph,” and influence followed nearness, not control. With specific words for women in every career season, it closes with prayer over the women of the church.
Scripture: Genesis 37, 39, 41
WEEK 5: MADE FOR MORE
Seven out of eight people at a wedding table hate their jobs — and somehow that’s normal. At the well in Samaria, Jesus catches His disciples staring at the routine while revival breaks out in front of them, and tells them to lift up their eyes: the fields are ripe NOW. This Pentecost finale invites your church into redemptive imagination — daring to ask “what if heaven showed up?” in their office, classroom, or industry.
Scripture: John 4:30-37; Acts 2:17-18
