WEEK 1: A PROVERBS 1 MAN

In Proverbs 1, Solomon says, “Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction” (Proverbs 1:8). King Solomon wanted to give his son the best gift of all. It wasn’t a Corvette or a Rolex. He wanted his beloved boy to possess the keys to a life of wisdom. Thus, he wrote down his best advice in the Book of Proverbs. Every verse contains a life lesson that a father passed down to his son, ultimately showing him how to be a Godly man. So what are the inward characteristics of a Godly man? We discover two keys in Proverbs 1 — fear of the Lord and humility.

WEEK 2: THE SPIRITUAL MAN: EXEMPLIFIED BY SAMUAL

We can learn so many valuable lessons from the life of Samuel. Each lesson is a powerful tool to keep in your spiritual toolbox. Samuel’s spiritual tools included compassion, patience, intentionality, and righteousness. In this study, let’s focus on two tools that Samuel used to build his ministry–prayer and strength.

WEEK 3: THE PERFECT MAN: EXEMPLIFIED BY JESUS

Jesus is the perfect representation of true masculinity. He is the culmination of everything we should strive for. Jesus was a fighter. He was a peace-keeper. Jesus was compassionate. He was kind. He gave a voice to the marginalized. That’s why we are all called to imitate His example throughout the Bible (1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:6). Jesus, the perfect man, embodied three attributes that every man should mirror. In this study, we will examine three significant events from the life of Jesus that exemplify these godly characteristics.
