Relationship Sermon Series (free)

This 4-part relationships sermon series is designed to help people prepare themselves for healthy relationships that glorify God. We wrote this series for youth, but you can edit the sermon scripts to adapt it for big church as well.

THIS FREE CURRICULUM INCLUDES:

— 3-Part sermon script (editable)
— Bible Study and Small Group Discussion Guide
— 3-Part Video Message
— Part 4: Love & Dating Q&A (youth/young adult focus)
— Branding Graphics
— Social Media Graphics

This is how the relationship sermon series breaks down:
Part 1: Finding the One

Students are obsessed with love and dating. Thus, we need to help students understand what steps they need to take before they’re ready for a relationship. Instead of outwardly searching for “the one,” begin by inwardly developing into the one God created you to be.
Scripture: James 1:23-25

Part 2: Dangerous Dating

Sometimes dating can be dangerous. And I’m not talking about cat fishing. Dating can be dangerous because it can make us play pretend to the point that we lose touch with who we really are. You want someone to love the real you, not someone you’re pretending to be. In this study, we will examine three consequences of dating when you’re not ready — compromising situations, demanding personality, and dissatisfaction in life.
Scripture: Genesis 29:16-25

Part 3: Big Risk, Bigger Reward

Youth talks about dating often take the same shape — warnings. Oftentimes, they become massive lists of dos-and-do-nots. Sure, those are super important, but that’s not the entire message. In this talk, we want to ensure students know that finding love is one of life’s greatest blessings. It starts with a risk, but that risk leads to a big reward.
Scripture: Ruth 3:1-6, Ephesians 2:20, 1 Cor 13:4-8

Part 4: Relationships Q&A Bonus Resource

The reality is that students are thinking about relationships. They’re asking questions and they’ll find answers one way or another. As Instagram influencers, The Bachelor, and high school lunch tables offer nonstop dating advice, it’s important for churches to provide students with a Biblical perspective on relationships. That’s why we created a Relationship Goals eBook to help you host a Q&A on dating in your youth group and young adults.
