Grounded wasn’t written in an office; it was taught for years at kitchen tables. Rick Schell, a lifelong discipler with a special heart for new believers, offered these lessons to the newly baptized — first gathering them in a small group, then walking with each person one-on-one, on a schedule that fit their lives. He met people where they were and never hurried them. After Rick went home to the Lord in 2022, the people he discipled gathered his lessons — in his own words — so that what he poured into them could be passed on. TWELVE LESSONS IN TWO MOVEMENTS
The first four lessons are designed for a small group and lay the foundation: Who is Jesus? What is God the Father like? Who is the Holy Spirit? How do I walk in the Spirit? The remaining eight are built for one-on-one mentoring over coffee, on the disciple’s own schedule: the Bible and why it’s reliable, prayer, how to study Scripture, identity in Christ, God’s will, suffering, the church, and sharing your faith.
