Easter Bible Study & Small Group Questions

Easter Bible Study

This 4-part Easter Bible study will help you understand Holy Week and how Jesus’ death and resurrection applies to your daily life.

Here is How the Easter Bible Study Breaks Down:
Part 1: Every Day of the Week

The same people that made a lot of noise for Jesus on Sunday abandoned Him on Friday. Unfortunately, we see a watered-down version of this behavior today, too. Some people live for Jesus on Sunday and forsake Him on Friday. God is an every day God— Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Don’t just worship Him on Sunday and forget Him throughout the week.
Scripture: Matthew 21:8-11

Part 2: Doing Things you Don’t Want to Do

If you want God to do something new in you, then you must let Him work within you. If you want to see something new, then you need to do something new. Embrace the uncomfortable calling God has for you. Uncomfortable obedience leads to unbelievable outcomes.
Scripture: Matthew 21:1-8

Part 3: Be the Donkey

Never once did the donkey carrying Jesus into Jerusalem think this celebration was about him. The donkey is certainly important here, but he must have known that Jesus was the star of the show. He was just a willing vessel and vehicle. Whenever you do some good in this world, make sure it’s all about Jesus.
Scripture: Zechariah 9:9

Part 4: The Empty Tomb Leads to a Full Life

There was hope beyond the tomb of Jesus, and there is hope beyond your grave as well. With Jesus, your death is just a doorway into the eternal presence of God. The grave is not the end; it’s merely the beginning.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:14
