Anxiety Sermon Series for Youth (Free)

This 3-part Bible study on anxiety and stress studies Philippians chapter four to help students learn what the Bible teaches about facing stress and anxiety in healthy ways.

This is how the anxiety sermon series breaks down:
Part 1: Paul’s Pathway to Peace

Anxiety is a bully. Using the magic of your imagination, anxiety can make your heart race and your palms sweat. In this message, we’ll examine two powerful weapons against anxiety — prayer and thanksgiving.
Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7

Part 2: How to Transform your Thinking

Stress isn’t always bad — it’s how our body deals with danger. It can be beneficial, but it’s not supposed to be our constant state of emotion. In this sermon, we will discuss mental practices that we can use to overcome stress and anxiety.
Scripture: Philippians 4:8-9

Part 3: The Secret to Overcoming Stress

At the end of Paul’s Pathway to Peace, he proudly explained, “I have learned the secret to being content.” Paul wanted to share a secret with his friends at Philippi and with you, so what is it? What’s Paul’s secret? In the context of stress and anxiety, Christ, contentment, and confidence are your secret recipe for overcoming stress.

Scripture: Philippians 4:10-13
