Most churches plan their preaching calendar the same way they’ve always planned it: gut instinct, whatever series performed well last time, and the fixed points the calendar always demands — Easter, Christmas, stewardship season. It’s not a bad process. It’s just not an informed one.

That’s the gap a preaching calendar closes — it’s the tool that translates assessment findings into an actual, week-by-week plan, and keeps every part of the church’s teaching ministry pointed at the same targets instead of drifting in three different directions.
Built out a year at a time, a calendar built around your dimensions and outcomes lets you see things a week-to-week view never will:
- Which of the five dimensions your preaching has quietly ignored for months
- Whether a whole season is overloaded on one theme while the outcome your data flagged as weakest never gets addressed
- Whether Sunday, your midweek teaching, and your small groups are actually reinforcing the same growth areas — or working in isolation
That last point is the real payoff. When a Sunday series on emotional health is backed by a Wednesday night class on the same outcome, and small group leaders have language and material to carry the conversation into Tuesday night, discipleship stops being three disconnected programs and becomes one coherent, data-informed path your whole church is walking together.

- Preaching — a full-year, week-by-week planning grid with columns for Discipleship Dimension, Discipleship Outcome, Series Theme, the Big Idea, Anchor Verse, Communicator, Biblical Text, sermon topic, creative elements, quotes, and songs — so every message is tagged to the specific dimension and outcome it’s meant to move.
- Mid Week — a matching teaching schedule so your Wednesday (or midweek) content reinforces, rather than duplicates or ignores, what’s happening on Sunday.
- Small Groups Dashboard — a living directory of every small group, tagged by discipleship category, with leader contact info, meeting details, and materials, so you can see at a glance where groups are supporting the plan and where there are gaps.
