THIS IS HOW THE FREE SERMON ON THE GOSPEL IN THE MARKETPLACE BREAKS DOWN:
Made for the Marketplace

When Jesus stood up in His hometown synagogue and announced His mission, He read Isaiah’s words — good news for the poor, the prisoners, the blind, the oppressed — and the crowd was so enraged they tried to throw Him off a cliff. Why? Because Jesus said the Gospel wasn’t for the religious insiders; it was for everyone out THERE. Then He proved it: recruiting smelly, low-reputation fishermen, touching an unreachable leper, healing a paralyzed man carried by his friends, and calling Matthew the tax collector before dining with a house full of “scum.” This message reveals that the Gospel you carry was made for the marketplace — it goes with you into any vocation, it may change how you work, and it turns Monday from a drag into a mission.
Scripture: Luke 4:16-29; Luke 4–5
