THIS IS HOW THE FREE SERMON SERIES ON 1 PETER BREAKS DOWN:
Part 1: DIFFERENT HOPE
God calls us to live differently than the world, and that difference is rooted in hope. While others place their confidence in things that fade, we have a living hope through Jesus’ resurrection. As chosen strangers in this world, our identity and future are secure in Him. Even when trials come, God uses them to strengthen our faith and remind us that His way is better. Doing life God’s way doesn’t just change how we live—it fills us with a supernatural hope that nothing in this world can take away.
Scripture: 1 Peter 1:1–12
Part 2: DIFFERENT CALLING
God calls us to live differently by shaping our lives around His holiness. Our identity in Christ comes first, and out of that identity flows a new way of living. We prepare our minds for action, pursue holiness, love others earnestly, crave God’s Word, and live as His witnesses in the world. This calling is not about keeping rules but about reflecting God’s character and showing the world who He is. Because we have been redeemed by Christ’s precious blood, we live set apart for His purposes.
Scripture: 1 Peter 1:13–2:10
Part 3: DIFFERENT RELATIONSHIPS
God calls us to live differently in the way we relate to others. Instead of reflecting the broken patterns of this world, we reflect the character of Christ. We honor authority, endure injustice with faith, and show love and respect in our homes. Even when insulted or mistreated, we bless instead of retaliate, pointing people to the hope we have in Jesus. Our conduct becomes a powerful witness, proving that life with Christ truly looks different on purpose.
Scripture: 1 Peter 2:11–3:17
Part 4: DIFFERENT ENDURANCE
God calls us to endure differently than the world by fixing our eyes on Christ. While others give up under pressure, we stand firm because Jesus already suffered, triumphed, and reigns victorious. We arm ourselves with His mindset, choose holiness over compromise, and keep loving and serving even when it’s costly. Trials refine our faith, the enemy prowls, but God Himself promises to restore, strengthen, and establish us. Endurance was never meant to be a solo effort—we endure together as God’s people, upheld by His grace.
Scripture: 1 Peter 3:18–5:14
