This ‘Power of Words’ youth series was created to help students learn how to use their words to benefit others while breaking down dangerous communication habits. I’ve heard it said, “Sticks and stones may break our bones, but words can never hurt me.” This cliché statement is catchy, but it isn’t true. Sticks and stones can break bones, but words can break hearts. Your words have power.

The Power of Words Youth Series Includes:

Sermon Series: ‘Sticks and Stones’ includes 4 sermon scripts exploring the power of words, lying, gossip and anger from the book of Proverbs.

Small Groups: Written messages and small group discussion guides can be used in conjunction with the ‘Sticks and Stones’ sermon series, or as four stand-alone small groups.

Devotional: 12-day devotional walking students through each chapter of Ecclesiastes, highlighting one key thought about the power of words.
